Up for sale is a rare vintage Casio 95QS-36 men’s digital chronograph sports watch, produced for the Japan Domestic Market (JDM) during the 1970s. This early Casio digital model reflects the brand’s pioneering work in digital chronograph design from the formative years of quartz watchmaking.
The watch is in full working condition, and all features and functions operate properly. There is a noted quirk in the chronograph mode where the timer appears to start from the 10-minute mark rather than zero. The cause of this behavior is unknown, but it does not appear to affect overall functionality or usability and is disclosed for full transparency.
All parts of the watch are original, including the stainless steel case, bracelet, clasp, and module. The watch retains its original caseback sticker, a desirable detail for collectors.
The watch is in very good physical condition overall and shows signs of use and age consistent with a genuine 1970s timepiece. Photos best describe its physical condition and should be reviewed carefully.

► ARCHIVE FILE: CASIO — BRAND HISTORY
Casio began not with watches but with calculation. Tadao Kashio founded Kashio Seisakujo in Tokyo in 1946, and with his three brothers developed the 14-A in 1957, the world's first compact all-electric relay calculator, incorporating the business as Casio Computer Co. that same year. The move into watchmaking came in November 1974 with the Casiotron, a digital watch whose claim to fame was an automatic calendar that knew how many days each month had, a small feat of logic that announced how an electronics firm would approach timekeeping.
